Cookie policy

What ReputaGuard does not do
ReputaGuard uses no advertising cookies, no third-party trackers, no audience measurement. The service does not display a consent banner because it only sets strictly necessary cookies (exempt from consent under article 82 of the French Data Protection Act, subject to legal validation).
Cookies and storage actually used
- rg_session (cookie, session) — authentication for your account. Deleted when the browser closes or on sign-out. Strictly necessary.
- rg-lang (sessionStorage, non-persistent) — remembers your language choice (EN/FR) to avoid repeated redirects. Cleared when the tab closes.
- Stripe — during payment, Stripe sets its own strictly necessary cookies on its domain for transaction security (see Stripe's policy).
Managing cookies
You can block or delete these items in your browser settings — however, access to your account requires the session cookie.
Editorial follow-up points
- Qualification of the “strictly necessary” exemption for each listed item.
- Exact server-side retention periods (database sessions — see the privacy policy).
- Any cookies set by third-party providers (Google OAuth, Stripe) on their domains.
